“It was such a rewarding experience for the seven of us (adults, teens, pre-teens) to experience making macaroons from scratch while in Paris. We also had our own homemade souvenirs. Julie is a miracle worker and really helped make our trip a complete success.”
“All the activities were interactive, keeping our young children engaged. Likewise each activity ran 2-3 hours which proved appropriate for the attention span of both 8 and 9 year olds. Paris, planned by Family-Twst was a once-in-a-lifetime family experience!”
“Julie from Family Twist spent a great deal of time with me via email prior to our trip helping me find activities that were suited for my young children and setting a schedule. The drivers were all very professional and punctual as were all the tour guides. It was worth every penny and we would certainly book through Family Twist in the future. Aside from planning and booking our excursions Julie also provided dining options close to all of our activities and she also personally met us at our apartment when we arrived in Paris with gifts for us and the kids.”
“The whole trip is a great memory. I was very impressed by the quality of the services from the first exchange of mails to the last organised visit. Everything was organised perfectly and ran very smoothly. The hotel (Residence Henri IV) was charming and the staff very friendly. The activities were very enjoyable and ran by friendly and knowledgeable people. The children learned a lot about Paris and art. It is amazing how much knowledge the children have gained thanks to our amazing guides and the activity leaflets provided by Family Twist. Overall, it was perfect. ”
“I want to thank you for an extraordinary day at the Louvre. Caroline was wonderful and the girls had a fantastic time. It was educational, very interesting – also for me and my daughter. We all loved it. Thank you so very much”
“Everything was perfect. Muriel and Delphine were both great and we enjoyed both things.
Thanks for all the goodies for the children and us waiting at the hotel as well as the Louvre book. They enjoyed the treasure hunt workbook. It is a perfect selection and right amount of info. There is nothing I can suggest to make it better.”
“The support in organizing the trip was excellent. Overall the trip was great and both we and kids thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We learnt much more than I expected about different pieces of art, history, science and (I hope) bread making!”
“Each excursion was terrific and sometimes we wouldn’t have done on our own. Your knowledge of kid friendly activities is terrific. They learned a lot from Katia about French history and also about baking during the cooking classes. It was excellent – you made the whole planning process so easy and seamless!”
“Thank you very much for organizing our treasure hunt at the Louvre…..we all loved it and we loved Katia, who was wonderful with our boys and gave us all a lot of interesting information of all the treasures we saw at the Louvre. We recommend this for any family or even just for adults as having your personal guide is really very useful”
“We really enjoyed our time in Paris and the tours and surprises you arranged were just wonderful! We appreciated the gifts and extra touches your put into each tour. The children loved it and it made it very easy for us. Thank you so much! Next time we are in Europe I will definitely be contacting you!”
“We had a grand time in Paris and I have already recommended Family Twist to several Mums at my daughter’s school. Emma, Claudia and Katia were all lovely and engaging with Lily. The cooking activity was our favorite followed by painting.”
“We had such a great time! Family Twist helped us arrange all different unique tours, that would be difficult to organize. We learned all the wonderful history and life of Paris. The children had lots to learn, and see from this that made the experience unforgettable.”
“The children had a brilliant time and so did we. Thank you for putting us together with such great guides. We look forward to our next adventure with the Family Twist team.”
“I want to thank you for arranging some wonderful activities for my family on our recent trip to Paris. We all enjoyed the visit to the Louvre immensely. Ella is young, but Katia kept her engaged for the entire tour. Leah and I learned a lot as well. The cooking class was great fun. By the end of class, we were all up to our necks in chocolate whipped cream and puff pastry. Ella became “assistant” to the group leader for the Eiffel Tower visit and was very proud of herself for doing it! The people leading the activities were great, the timing just right. Also, I thank you for the flowers and chocolate. Your 100th client in Paris wishes you a successful future!”
“It was ‘awesome’! We wouldn’t have found the “Padlock bridge” near the Louvre, and it was fun buying our own padlock for the bridge. We enjoyed the French lesson and exploring Montmartre in a fun child-friendly way. It was very helpful to have the information about metro connections, which made using the metro very straight forward. Avoiding the very long queues at the Eiffel Tower, by having lunch on the first floor, was a great idea.”

“I don’t really know how to ‘sing your praises’ loud enough. My daughter got your contact details on the internet and quite frankly I thought we were booking blind not knowing anything about Family Twist. What a pleasant surprise. From start to finish I thought your company handled everything very professionally with a personal touch which was much appreciated. Little gifts on the table in the apartment on our arrival gave everyone a boost and thank you for those. Your Tour Guides were most professional and knew their facts and history and made the tours most interesting for both children and adults.
The Scooter ride was fun – but Granny and Papa had to learn quickly how to ride a scooter!!! The Eiffel Tower tour was great and I am sure our grandchildren will retain much of that information. The treasure hunt in the Louvre was also great and directed for the children – only comment maybe a little long as it was very busy. Thank you for the books. I will certainly recommend your company to anyone that I know travelling overseas. Thank you all for helping us to have a great time in Paris.”
“We had a fantastic time, and I think the girls had a wonderful introduction to England and France. Thank you so much for your assistance in planning our European adventure! We had an absolutely fantastic time. Your help made our trip enjoyable for each family member (including me, I could relax, knowing that you’d arranged everything to perfection!) We will be recommending you to all our friends and family!”
“I can’t thank you enough for your help with our trip and for the gifts. Searcy Ann has already started writing in the journals about her trip. Everything was perfect! We loved our hotel and especially the staff in London and now I completely understand your choice of hotel for us in Paris. We really did feel like part of a neighborhood. We had two different experiences and we loved them both. Please thank Katia for her wonderful tour of the Louvre. She really brought the museum to life for ALL of us. I was so proud when we got home to hear Searcy talking about her time there. Thank you again for making it the trip of a lifetime!”
“I want to say thank you for arranging a fantastic trip. This was exactly the experience I was looking to give my family, the right balance between doing the “must do’s” – museums, sites etc. and the unique experiences like the street art, cooking class, market tours etc. The flow of this trip was great, even though the kids complained about our early starts :), it managed to keep us on the go building a busy but not overwhelming day. Having the last day off was great to let the kids shop and explore on their own. Had I had more time in Paris, I would have done a day off there as well. The kids and adults really enjoyed our guides. I found the guides very knowledgeable, high energy and enthusiastic towards their tours. Our favourites were Anne and Eve, only because they were able to relate more to us as a group through joking and making everyone at ease. However, we found all the guides great. I can’t express enough how much we enjoyed this trip. Your scheduling and organization made this effortless on my part and filled us with rich experiences. Travelling with teenagers can be a challenge given their short attention span. This trip did a terrific job with flow that keep their attention intact which improved the enjoyment of our experience. Thank you so much, and I plan to keep in touch for our next trip to Europe…”
“I wanted to thank you for all of your assistance in making our Paris vacation perfect! In any event, we will be recommending your services to everyone we know.”
“In London, the girls, Phil and I had a great day! Angie was terrific too. Thank you for planning this for us!
In Paris we had a great day and Marie was terrific! We saw so many wonderful things and the girls were so good even with jet lag. The restaurant for lunch was very good. Christine had steak tartare and Nicole had chateaubriand. We decided to end after Le Louvre and go for a swim at the hotel. Thank you for all the wonderful souvenirs and memories!”
“Firstly, we had a smooth stay; someone else made the organizing for us. We loved the car drive and the Montmartre tour. We learned a lot and it was fun. Alone we would have just wandered around and stayed as “outsiders”. The feel of not being “alone and isolated” in a strange town but we felt part of it almost as if we made friends here. No complaining; it was in fact excellent service and a wonderful experience!”
“Excellent! Extremely worthwhile to have “family twist” organize our itinerary. You were fabulous Magali. Great touch to greet us at hotel – Excellent! Well done and a huge thank you! We couldn’t have enjoyed this trip without Family Twist.”
“Family Twist really looked after us fantastically well. In the run-up to our trip, the company was outstanding in its professionalism and attentiveness to our requirements and preferences, which were extensive since the family group spanned the generations, including grandparents, parents, a teen, a pre-teen, and a toddler. At the outset I was not entirely clear about what I wanted and made several changes, yet Magali and the team were creative, accommodating and thoughtful in terms of planning our stay despite the very tight time frames. Family Twist always considers the different needs of all the family, and we were amazed by the attention to detail for our Parisian adventure. As a result, our trip was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The highly personable team was on hand in Paris to make us feel welcome and to help with all our queries. The activities and tours were lots of fun and very well organised with excellent hosts and facilitators, who kept the whole family stimulated and entertained throughout. The thoughtful planning and diverse activities meant we were able to gain a fantastic appreciation of the sights of Paris as well as making the most of our special family time”
“We had a wonderful time in France. It was really action-packed, and Glenn and I loved travelling to Paris with the kids. Even from when they were really young, travelling with them has given us a special way of seeing a country and experiencing its culture. We can go to places that are off the tourist track, like zoos, aquariums and parks.
Our holiday in Paris was very special, and the kids had a wonderful time. The days were long and full of fun. Going through Family Twist was very helpful, especially when it came to the planning of the trip with all of Magali’s different suggestions. They were all really thoughtful and geared towards the family and the kids. We were really pleased by how kind she was and how quickly she answered our questions. It certainly saved us a lot of hassle! We got a lovely welcome at the hotel with gifts in the room and special milk for the kids in the fridge. You were very thoughtful to send a driver who spoke our language. The suggested itineraries that we discovered in the hotel were very nice too.
Over the course of the trip we loved the family activities, especially the baking session – that was the best experience of all! Apart from the bread making, they loved the trip in the horse and cart, the boat and the Eiffel Tour of course. We had a special family time that will stay in our memories for a long time. We’d definitely recommend to it to our friends! It was so reassuring to have help booking restaurants, receiving suggestions for activities, and of course getting the special milk we requested. The kids learnt loads about the city and its culture. Joao was even saying “Bonjour” and “Merci” by the end. They loved it and they’re really keen to go back”
“Overall the stay and ‘design’ of the trip was fantastic, 10/10. I am so pleased I went through Family Twist. If I had just chosen a hotel, it would have been a good trip to Paris, the elements you added with us made it magical. So, in detail. The hotel was really good, really convenient parking and a nice welcome. The room was really nice. Anyway, we explored locally and looked at the restaurants you recommended and chose one, returned to the hotel before the 2CV ride. The 2CV ride was brilliant, 11/10 from William. A really good way to get oriented and for us both to see and feel Paris. The weather helped but it is a memory that will last for ever. In fact I have suggested that my wife (who stays in Paris a lot as she works for Total) does it some time. The guide was really informative, at the right times. The hotel was great, comfy, welcoming and the breakfast was really good. After that we went around Paris, which I’m sure you know was a real pleasure, we got the Metro and visited the Arc de Triomphe, walked up the Eiffel Tower, and visited some other places.”
“He learned above a bit about Parisian architecture, art history French history and politics. I learned a lot above Montmartre’s famous people (Aymé, Poulbot). I loved learning above Soutine and Aymé’s Passe Muraille. My son enjoyed the bateau mouche, Musée Rodin, all the little presents and souvenir. He enjoyed the food, and liked hotel room. Very hospitable, personalized and attentive, caring service throughout.”
“Superb. The guides were very knowledgeable. “Too much new information to write down”. Nothing to improve: even the weather was excellent!”
“Thank you very much. It was perfect holiday for us. All your guides are brilliant we are very happy about everything. Many thanks ”
“Thank you SO much, Magali! We had a fantastic visit with Rudi and his wife Johanna. And the birthday cake was a complete surprise and just wonderful!! The next time we visit France I will email you and Family Twist well in advance! My kids have been “dueling” all day with wooden foils we bought after our visit. Rudi was incredible – brilliant about fencing, passionate, and great with our children. Thanks for arranging!”
“We had a wonderful time and the kids really enjoyed it! Charlotte was great and she really made it an experience that the kids will never forget. My daughter is still talking about it. Thanks.”
“Family Twist were able to help with planning everything and establish what was possible. Pre-booking all our tickets made all the difference. Not having to deal with any queues made everything easier. Also the tour around the Louvre meant we saw the “main points” smoothly even though it was extremely crowded. We were very happy to have such an organized schedule with pre-booked tickets. Not having to deal with transport and crowds made everything easier. The children also loved the presents!”
“Excellent. Very helpful and resourceful. The pre-booked taxi rides made it very easy on arrival, especially after a 4.5 hours train journey. The bread-making activity and horse-carriage, the 2CV tour were all made possible with Family Twist. We didn’t see any info at the hotel, so wouldn’t have known about these great activities if we didn’t book with Family Twist. Your personal touch to ensure activities take place in a logical order also means we made the most of our time there. The restaurant recommendation was excellent. If you didn’t book for us, we would not have a table (we saw many people got turned away that evening!) The food was fantastic. It was our best meal for a long time. Jasmine spotted the Wednesday special “duck confit” on the menu and she finished the whole lot! Daisy had snails with mashed potato and loved it! The waiter made us feel very welcome, even though there wasn’t any young children eating at that restaurant at the time. (In England, taking kids out to dinner after 7:30pm usually attracts funny looks and a table in the far corner!) And to have a taxi arranged to take us back to the hotel when it was dark was good thinking, too.”
“We never would have been able to have had our very own lesson like that, a private lesson in that kind of environment that was just for kids.Every aspect of the day was like that. We felt very well catered for. We felt special because we knew we had special guides with us for each part of the day. And I think Owen felt the most special of all because he had people taking care of him and giving him things that were fun and just for him. I thought Owen would be very tired out because it was a long day. But he was such a trooper and enjoyed every part of it and he didn’t get tired at all.”
“Great from beginning to end.. Magali listened carefully to the issues we had and came up with several ideas for our night inParis… She presented them really clearly allowing us to choose the option that best suited our family. After choosing an itinerary we sat back and relaxed… Everything else was sorted, taxis (complete with babyseats) to the hotel; tour of the Louvre; restaurant bookings; breakfast suggestions for the next morning…You name it, it was sorted.”
” Magali was very professional and great to work with to make the most of our time together. The children had a memorable afternoon learning about Paris’ history and cooking delicious desserts. We all felt very special being with our own guide and having our own private cooking class with a chef to explain and help the children. We have lived in Paris for four years and this afternoon was unlike any other and a definite favorite for all of us. The kids were very proud of their scavenger hunt paper and gourmet desserts. I highly recommend Family Twist as the perfect way to explore Paris for everyone in the family.”
