Five excellent reasons to jump on your sleigh and visit Paris this Christmas
Why not escape the winter chill with a bread-baking session in a kitchen that is specifically designed for kids? You can learn how to make a genuine French baguette, and produce a brunch for the whole family to enjoy. After that, you can always head to one of the City of Light’s famous museums for a enjoyable, educational treasure hunt – perfect for the little ones! Or you could make your very own masterpieces, following in the footsteps of the Impressionists with a painting class in the heart of the capital. Getting around between activities can make small toes cold and tired, so we can organise some bespoke transport options, including vintage cars or covered horse-drawn carriages. Christmas is all about sharing special moments with your loved ones, and at Family Twist we are determined to let you enter into the Christmas spirit more joyously than ever.
2) Even more of our festive attention to detail!
On arriving at your hotel or apartment, you’ll be met by a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, your very own sapin de Noël. How better to fill your temporary Parisian home with bundles of Christmas cheer? What’s more, we can arrange for your own Christmas dinner to be delivered straight to your door – mouth-watering deliciousness for the whole family! And if you’re behind with your Christmas shopping, we’ll be happy to give recommendations about the best places to find presents: children’s clothes, the best toys or even a nice box of macaroons.
3) Experience Christmas à la française
We want you to really get the most out of your Parisian Noël. Like real Parisians, you can attend a Christmas mass in English in a beautiful church in the centre of town. Or get further into festive mode by preparing some special Christmas cakes in a space kitted out for kids and decorated to get you into the spirit of things. And to immerse the kids further into the native culture, we can always organise a French lesson where they can explore the theme of Christmas, learning new words and hearing about typical traditions.
4) Lots of Christmas attractions across the city
There are many treats at this festive time of year in Paris. You can take a trip to the world’s oldest circus and marvel at all the entertainment on show. Or you could enjoy one of the many exhibitions taking place this winter across the city’s world-famous museums… whether you are interested in Cézanne, Oscar Wilde or Chinese art, there’ll be something for all of you to enjoy, safe from the cold outside. And don’t forget to try out the amazing giant ferris wheel in the Tuileries, or miss the chance to go skating at the atmospheric ice rink.
5) Paris dresses up for the occasion
See Paris in a truly new and stunning way. We can’t describe how beautiful the city is when it steps out in its Christmas finery… the breathtaking lights along the Champs Élysées or across Place Vendôme have to be seen to be believed! The same goes for the famous Grands Magasins, where the kids can visit Santa while you finish off any last-minute shopping.
