The knights’ tour of Paris by Family Twist
Paris is of course home to the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Champs Elysées and Sacré Cœur, all of which are must-see stop-offs during your break in Paris. But there is another side to the city, altogether more mysterious and far less known by tourists: Medieval Paris.
At Family Twist we are passionate about the history of Paris and we are always keen to encourage families to explore every aspect of its past.
This two-hour private guided tour starts with a short visit to the Musée de Cluny, the city’s Museum of the Middle Ages and one of the most beautiful in Paris. It is housed in a wonderful private mansion dating back to the fifteenth century. A trip here is unmissable for anyone who enjoys jumping back in time! After visiting this incredible spot, you will follow in the knights’ footsteps to reach the world-famous and impressive cathedral Notre Dame de Paris. From both inside and out, our guide will tell you everything about the lady of Paris. After that you will end up on the Right Bank to discover other medieval sights, such as the old fortified walls and iconic half-timbered houses of the Marais.
Our family-friendly walking tour in Medieval Paris aims to give you an original and new experience of the city. The itinerary is sprinkled with games and riddles to keep the kids intrigued, crowned off with their unforgettable knighting ceremony!
John (14), Sam (11) and Peter (3) loved this tour when they took it last November with their parents and grandparents. They spent a memorable afternoon learning about Paris’s history, culture and heritage. The boys’ grandfather said that “the medieval tour sparked everyone’s imagination”.
