Among the many highlights of this tour, start with the statue of Oscar Wilde’s in Merrion Square. He was the author of the philosophical novel The Picture of Dorian Grey. Then head out to the pharmacy which inspired James Joyce‘s Ulysses, the house where Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula lived and many other places related to the incredible literary heritage of Ireland.
Another stop worth mentioning is Marsh’s Library, the oldest public library in Dublin, where surely all these famous writers and poets have spent hours on end reading books and enjoying the intimate ambiance of a library.
The last stop is Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, were Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver’s Travels became Dean in the early 18th century.
