Description

Meet your private, fully-licensed chauffeur guide at your hotel in Florence and hop into a private, fully equipped V-Class minivan. During the 1-hour trip to Pisa (approx.) you will be able to learn about the Tuscan countryside and see its picturesque landscape.

Upon arriving in Pisa, let your guide tell you all about its most iconic area: Miracle Square.

After a brief explanation on the history of Pisa and its importance both past and present, you will climb up the world-famous Leaning Tower (your guide will not be able to climb with you as guides are not allowed to give explanations inside the tower). After this 30-minute experience inside the tower, your guide will show you the exterior of the square’s other iconic monuments: the Cathedral, an emblem of Pisan Romanesque architecture, followed by the discovery of the Baptistery.

If there are no lines, your guide will take you inside the Cathedral.

To keep your children engaged throughout the tour, they will each receive a fun-filled game booklet upon your arrival in Pisa.

Important information:
– Children under the age of 8 are NOT allowed to climb the tower for security reasons.
– The internal regulations of the Leaning Tower of Pisa stipulate that visitors can only stay up to 30 minutes inside the tower.
– A strict security check is operated at the foot of the Leaning Tower: hand bags, backpacks etc. are not allowed inside the tower and can be left inside the mini-van or in lockers located inside the museum.
– There are many (251) steps to climb up to the top of the Leaning Tower, and the last staircase is very narrow. People who are afraid of heights or suffer from claustrophobia, cardiovascular and muscular disorders should not climb the tower.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private chauffeur guide throughout the visit. All the visited places are open to the public so there will be other visitors.
Is there a lot of walking during the tour?
Because our tours are designed for families with children, we make sure the distances are not too long. The Miracle Square is flat and all the monuments are located on the same square, so the walk is not difficult. And since we design our walking tours for families, the distances are very reasonable and don’t require too much effort.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Children under 6 can join this tour as there is really not that much walking involved. However, children under the age of 8 are NOT ALLOWED to climb up the Leaning Tower and an adult member of the family will have to stay with them as our guides are not responsible for the children. Because children need to know how to read and write to fully appreciate the game booklets, we recommend this tour for children older than 6.
Are we going inside the highlights mentioned?
Yes, you will enter the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Should the lines not be long, you might also get a chance to visit the inside of the Cathedral, but this is not guaranteed.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, it is possible to bring a stroller or wheelchair, but there are no elevators in the Leaning Tower, so climbing the tower will not be possible.
What happens if it rains?
The tour will take place, even if it rains. Just make sure you bring an umbrella or rain jacket.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will. They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt his/her speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
