For over 900 years, the Tower of London has dominated the city. Throughout the centuries, it has served as a fortress, a royal palace, a prison, a jewel house and even a zoo!
Of course, you will get to see the highlight of the Tower of London : the world-famous Crown Jewels, which were mostly made for the coronation of Charles II in 1661. But it is not the only exciting thing you and your children will discover during the tour.
Other highlights include the memorial on Tower Green, which marks the execution site of ten people, including 3 English queens, the beautiful Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula, the famous ravens and raven-masters, Traitor’s Gate, and the “Bloody Tower”.
Although your guide will already make this a great activity for your children, they will also have a game booklet which they will fill in as the tour unfolds.
