Description

Meet your private, family-friendly fully-licensed guide and let them take you through the highlights of the Belvedere Palace. These highlights include the paintings by Klimt, Schiele and many other Austrian and international artists, but also include some architectural and decoration details of the palace itself.

Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele being the two most famous 19th century Austrian painters, the majority of the focus will be on their masterpieces, such as Klimt’s The Kiss and Judith and the Head of Holofernes, and Schiele’s portraits. As you discover these major artworks, your guide will also introduce you to other fascinating curiosities and artists such as Franz Xaver Messerschmidt or Ferdinand Georg Waldmüller.

The experienced guide and the game booklet given to each child will keep them engaged and entertained until the very end of the visit.

If you are planning to know more about Klimt, Schiele and visit the beautiful Belvedere Palace museum, our Klimt and the Belvedere Palace family-friendly tour is a great choice.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the tour. But there will be other people visiting the palace of course.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this highlights tour for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. Due to the lack of interactive possibilities, we would not recommend this visit for younger children.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide skip-the-line tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided. The wait will not last long though.
Once the tour is finished, can we stay inside the museum or go back in?
Of course, you are free to stay inside the museum if you wish to continue exploring it once the tour is finished. Our tour cannot cover the whole collection, so we highly recommend staying a while longer in this relatively small sized museum. But if you exit the building, you will not be able to get back inside.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, the Belvedere Palace is wheelchair friendly and there are elevators to bring disabled people to the upper floors, so strollers are also welcome.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
