Itinerary

Day 1 – The British Museum

Little Girl at the British MuseumWelcome to London! Your English-speaking chauffeur will be awaiting your arrival at the train station or airport. He will drive you to your hotel/apartment in a car fully equipped for your kids’ safety. There you will have a moment to settle in to your British home and enjoy the little surprises for you in your room.

In the afternoon, your private chauffeur will drive you to the British Museum where you will meet your guide and travel back in time to the land of the Ancients. For starters, you will enjoy a game where you have to solve clues about mummies and decrypt the Rosetta Stone, all the while taking in the world’s largest collection of Ancient Egyptian artefacts outside Egypt. Afterwards, explore the marbles from the Parthenon, and solve some more riddles while you are at it… a fascinating way to unearth age-old mysteries in this unique museum with its modern design.

At the end of the tour, your private chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel/apartment.

Day 2 – Crime, Punishment and Detectives

child detective for a dayAfter breakfast, your English-speaking chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel/apartment and drive you to the City of London, where you will meet your guide for a wacky Sherlock Holmes experience.

The City is where it all began, but for every William Shakespeare there’s a William Wallace, and for every Good Queen Bess there’s a Bloody Mary – and for every Sherlock Holmes there’s a Moriarty! Come and discover the history of London’s criminals and what fate awaited them when (or if) they got caught.

In the afternoon, you will become a member of a special police team, using modern forensic techniques to solve a criminal case. DNA research, fingerprinting, magnifying glasses and microscopes… use them all to catch the thief!

At the end of the session, your private chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel/apartment.

Day 3 – Pâtisserie Baking Class

delicious halloween macaroonsAfter breakfast, your English-speaking chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel/apartment and drive you to the station to jump on the Eurostar to Paris. Once you’ve arrived in Paris, another English-speaking chauffeur will welcome you at the station and drive you to your hotel/apartment in a fully equipped Mercedes car.

After lunch, your private chauffeur will drive you to our cooking school to make some delicious and scary patisserie. It’s a unique chance to learn how to bake and decorate amazing cakes with a spooky Halloween twist. After making your chef’s hat as terrifying as possible, it will be time to don your apron and meet your English-speaking chef to start cooking all together. With your kids you will make a range of delicious and frightening treats: ghosts, spiders, witches and bats! All the while learning lots of French patisserie techniques as you go. At the end, all the family will enjoy trying your freaky culinary creations, and you can bring home a fantastic souvenir of the fun times spent together.

At the end of the session, your private chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel/apartment.

Day 4 – Catacombs, a cemetery and a science immersion

pere lachaise cemeteryAfter breakfast, your English-speaking chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel/apartment and drive you to the Catacombs.

There, you will meet our professional guide. Drop down to a depth of 20 metres below the city to visit the Paris Catacombs, the municipal ossuary, or bone cemetery, which dates back to the end of the eighteenth century. Your guide will walk you through the 1.7km of galleries, whose walls are made entirely of bones, skulls and skeletons! Not for the faint of heart! After this 1-hour tour you will head to Paris’s celebrity cemetery. Try to solve the riddle and find the lost fortune of the Demidoff Family by answering clues hidden on different tombs. Along the way, your private guide will share all sorts of stories about the famous figures buried here, from Frédéric Chopin and Jim Morrison to Molière and Oscar Wilde.

In the afternoon, you will step into the shoes of Dr Jekyll and other mad scientists. Discover fun and strange experiments and learn how to reproduce them at home. Put on your white coat and gloves and start studying for your junior science degree!

At the end of the session, your private chauffeur will drive you back to your hotel/apartment.
