Halloween With The Impressionists
Pumpkin carving is fun, but why not try something new, something original, something… French?
Our Halloween with the Impressionists hands-on activity is the perfect way to get your children interested in Impressionist Art. They will be able to discover the city’s art tradition without spending hours in a museum and still live the Halloween spirit!
First, a quick visit to the Orangerie museum (Musée de l’Orangerie) with your private art teacher will get you and your children familiarized with what was once a revolutionary way of painting. There, your family will see and learn about Monet’s world famous paintings les Nympheas (“Water Lilies”).
After this quick 1/2 hour museum visit, our driver will take you to our privatized art studio in Saint Germain des Prés. In this cozy atmosphere, everyone will participate in the creation impressionist Halloween decorations using pastels. Of course, the technique will be similar to what you have seen in the museum previously, but the theme will be something that the Impressionist painters of the late 19th century have never done: Halloween! These new and original Halloween decorations will be perfect for your Halloween party, wherever you are.
Hang these items proudly on your front door on the night of trick or treat and you’ll definitely have a twist that the whole neighborhood will notice! There’s nothing better than combining an old French painting technique with a modern twist when on a holiday with kids in Paris.
