Itinerary

 

Day 1 – Venice Sightseeing Tour

Venice sightseeing tour - sunrise MBenvenuto a Venezia! Our English-speaking chauffeur will wait for you at the airport and drive you to Piazzale Roma. You will then step out of the mini van and continue your transfer directly to the hotel by private boat. If your hotel does not have a direct boat access, the boat driver will drop you off at the nearest stop. Gifts and surprises await in your room…

After lunch, our private, English-speaking certified guide will pick you up at your hotel. The private, luxurious boat will be waiting for you at the hotel or at the nearest stop, where you will start your Venice Sightseeing Tour. Our guide will tell you all about the secrets of the city build on stilts as you sail by some of the most iconic monuments of Venice.

Along the way, you will see the Grand Canal, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, the Arsenal, the Rialto Bridge, the island of Murano as well as many other sumptuous buildings. Not only will your guide give you an insight on the city’s history and architecture, she will also entertain your children with amazing fun-facts and captivating stories… The game booklets will also keep this Venice Sightseeing Tour highly engaging for your children. At the end of this 2 hour introductory experience, we will drop you off at your hotel or the nearest pier.

 

Day 2 – St Mark’s Square and a Gondola and Walking Tour

During this fun and educational tour, your family will learn everything there is to know about the buildings that make up this iconic square: the Doge’s Palace, the Campanile, the Clock Tower and St. Mark’s Basilica. You will enter and visit the Doge’s Palace (and walk inside the Bridge of Sighs) as well as the beautiful St. Mark’s Basilica.

After the visit, we can recommend a tasty Italian lunch in the area. After lunch, our guide will be waiting for you at San Tomà vaporetto station for the start of the gondola and walking tour.

First, hop on board a real traditional gondola and experience a wonderful 35mn ride through the smaller canals of the city and the Grand Canal. Once you have sailed under the Rialto Bridge, the gondola will stop at a pier so you can continue your walking tour through the charming streets of the city and off the beaten tracks. From the Bovolo Staircase to the Bridge of Sighs by way of the opera, the Assassins street and the secret casino escape doors, you and your children will have a wonderful time.

The tour ends at the Bridge of Sighs. We will give recommendations for dinner in the area or within walking distance from your hotel.

 

Day 3 – Making a Carnival Mask

The Venice Carnival - Masks MAfter breakfast, our private family-friendly guide will be waiting for you in front of the Ca’Rezzonico museum.

There, you will learn about the 18th century Venice and know more about the famous Venetian Carnival and the iconic costumes. After 45 minutes of visit and a short 10mn walk, you will start the fun-filled hands-on workshop: creating your own carnival mask. Will it be the plague doctor mask or another one? You decide what you want to do!

We will give lunch recommendations in the area or within walking distance from your hotel. At the end of the day, according to the flight / train schedule, the boat will pick you up at the hotel and bring you to the airport / train station. Ciao Venezia!
