Description

Meet your private, fully licensed guide and your private chauffeur at your hotel and hop into a fully-equipped electric minivan to get out of the city and discover the Dutch countryside.

The first stop is a local milk farm, approximately 30 minutes away from Amsterdam. Learn all about the life at a farm today, and what it was like to be a farmer in the past and enjoy some fresh milk.

The second stop is all about the typical Dutch landscape of water and reclaimed land. From the top of a dike you overview a big lake – a former sea, and the lower lands. You will  learn everything about the Dutch history of turning water into land, and land into water.

The final stop is a windmill in the middle of the polder landscape. You will have a private tour of the windmill and understand how it was used to grind the wheat or pump water.

At the end of this private visit of the windmill, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Amsterdam.

FAQ's

Is this a private activity?
It sure is. Your family members will be the only ones doing this tour, with your private guide, chauffeur and vehicle. You will be the only guests in the milk farm and in the windmill.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
This tour is suitable for kids of all ages. Our vehicles are equipped with baby seats or booster seats, so we are able to accommodate to any child, regardless of their age. Our family-friendly guide will adapt to the ages of the children and make sure everyone has a great time.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Will we spend a long time in the vehicle?
The time spent in the car is not more than 2 hours (that is with traffic), which will enable you to admire the countryside. There is at least 2 hours spent outside of the minivan.
What happens if it rains?
The tour will take place no matter what the climate conditions are. Just remember to bring a rain jacket or an umbrella when visiting the village.
Will my teenage kids like this excursion?
Sure they will. It is a great way to get out of the city and enjoy a breath of fresh air. Besides, although very flat, the countryside has some great landscapes. And since this is a private tour, the guide will adapt their speech to your teenage children.
