Description

Meet your family-friendly Blue Badge guide at the entrance of the Churchill War rooms.

As you discover this fascinating place, let your guide tell you many fun-facts and real stories about the Cabinet War Rooms that sheltered Britain’s former Prime Minister and his government when London was bombed. Find out what happened and what brought the Allied forces to victory.

You and your children will see the many different rooms that make up this underground fortified bunker and imagine what life was like living hidden underground.

To keep your children engaged and entertained throughout the visit, they will each be given a fun-filled game booklet. And who gets to decipher the codes will get a gift at the end of the tour…

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting this museum during your visit, and since it is a popular museum, it might get a bit crowded.
When is the best time to visit the Churchill War Rooms?
The busiest months are July and August. The best time is just before or right after summer, or from November to March if you want to avoid crowds and queues.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you chose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 10 years old?
Because of the topic, this tour is not recommended for kids younger than 10. But if there is a younger sibling, than we will be able to accommodate.
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide prepaid tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided. Expect some waiting time (the lines can take up to 30/45 minutes in high season), and unfortunately, the museum does not offer skip-the-line tickets.
