Description
Piet Mondrian (or Mondriaan in Dutch) is one of the most famous abstract painters in the world. In 1944, he starts working on his new painting called Victory Boogie Woogie but dies of pneumonia, leaving his masterpiece unfinished.
Together with your private, experienced family-friendly art teacher, you will try to become Piet Mondrian and finish this painting. To do this, you will start with a brief introduction on the artist himself, and more precisely about his time in New York, where he lived from 1942 until his death. You will learn that he was searching for an expression of the rhythm of America, and kept on changing Victory Boogie Woogie over and over again.
With this in mind, you will finish this masterpiece in a private atelier located in the heart of Amsterdam. This is teamwork, so all the members of your family will be participating in this family masterpiece. Just follow the instructions of your art teacher, and soon, you will be playing with lines and colors in the style of Piet Mondrian.
At the end of the workshop, your family painting will be rolled and packed so you can easily bring it back home.
