There is no better way to experience and discover the center of Dublin, with its old historical buildings, its heritage and its lively streets than to walk through it.
Follow your private, fully-licensed guide through the small streets of the city center and discover the wonders, highlights and secrets of Ireland’s capital city. Start at Christ Church, the elder of Dublin’s 2 medieval cathedrals (with parts dating back to the 11th century) and walk towards Trinity College through the famous (and very lively) Temple Bar area. Trinity College is where many of Ireland’s most prolific writers and poets studied…
Other highlights seen during this 2-hour walking tour include Molly Malone’s statue, George’s Street Arcade and Dublin Castle, the heart of Irish politics.
To keep your children entertained and engaged, not only will your guide give a lot of fun facts and tell fascinating stories, but each child will get a fun-filled game booklet.

Is this a private tour?

Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the walk.

Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?

We recommend this tour for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. But our family-friendly guide will be able to adapt to younger children if necessary. It’s also possible to bring your stroller. There are many snack shops where you will be able to buy something to eat or drink for your children along the way.

Can we go into Trinity College?

You will go inside the Trinity College grounds, but you will not enter any of the buildings.

Can we go inside other places mentioned in the description?

We have optimized this walking tour to see all the curiosities in the city center, but still keeping in mind that time should not exceed 2 hours for the children. This is why only the exterior of places like Christ Church or Dublin Castle will be shown and commented by your family-friendly guide.

Are the parents staying with the children or separated?

We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).

How difficult is the walking part?

Dublin is a flat city, so the walking is not difficult. And since we design our walking tours for families, the distances are very reasonable and don’t require too much effort.

What happens if it rains during the tour?

The tour cannot be canceled and will take place. Just remember to bring an umbrella. There are plenty of areas where you will be able to hide from the rain.

Will my teenage kids like the tour?

Sure they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
