Our Stories, Myths and Legends of Ireland tour is all about the famous writers and poets of Dublin. Meet your private, fully-licensed guide near Merrion Square and let them introduce you to some of Ireland’s greatest writers and storytellers such as Oscar Wilde, James Joyce, Bram Stoker and many more.
Start this walking tour by discovering Oscar Wilde, the author of the philosophical novel The Picture of Dorian Grey, and his statue in Merrion Square. Then head out to the pharmacy which inspired James Joyce‘s Ulysses, the house where Bram Stoker, the author of Dracula lived and many other places related to the incredible literary heritage of Ireland.
Another stop worth mentioning is Marsh’s Library, the oldest public library in Dublin, where all these famous writers and poets have spent hours on end reading books and enjoying the intimate ambiance of a library.
The last stop is Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, were Jonathan Swift, author of Gulliver’s Travels became Dean in the early 18th century.
