DESCRIPTION

Meet your private, fully-licensed guide in front of the National Museum and let them tell you about the incredibly vast and exciting history of Dublin and Ireland. Follow your guide as they take you to the main highlights of the museum and tells you all about the first settlements and the arrival of the Vikings. They have played a big role in Ireland’s history. If you are brave enough, you might even get to see the bog bodies!
After 1 hour spent in the museum, hop into a private luxurious minivan and after a quick 15min drive, you will find yourselves inside Dublinia, an interactive museum dedicated to the Vikings and Medieval Dublin. The wax statues and interactive entertainment will let you and your children dive into this part of Dublin’s history. And with the explanations of your private guide, you will know all the little details and fun facts about the mighty conquerors of the North.
To keep the children fully entertained and engaged, they will each receive a fun-filled game booklet at the beginning of the tour.
For those who are able, it is also possible to climb up the tower at Dublinia for a beautiful panoramic view of the city.

FAQ's

Is this a private tour?

You will have a private guide AND a private chauffeur. Apart from these 2 people, no one else will be joining. There will be other people visiting the National Museum and Dublinia as these are not made private.

Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?

We recommend this tour for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. But our family-friendly guide will be able to adapt to younger children if necessary. Baby seats or booster seats are available at no extra charge.

Are the parents staying with the children or separated?

We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).

How long does it take to go from the National Museum to Dublinia?

It takes about 15 minutes if there is no traffic.

Will we have time to visit Christ Church?

Unfortunately, not. Although you can directly access Christ Church through Dublinia, the church is not included in this visit.

What kind of vehicle do you use?

Our Mercedes V-class Minivans are the most comfortable minivans, fully equipped with baby seats or booster seats (if necessary) and water bottles.

Will my teenage kids like the tour?

Sure, they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
