DESCRIPTION

There is nothing better and more traditional than getting together with Scottish friends for a Ceilidh. This is something that all families do in Scotland when they want to spend quality time with friends and family.
After meeting with your Scottish friends (a singer, a storyteller and a musician) in the comfort of a very prestigious venue, it is time to begin the traditional Ceilidh.
Your private storyteller might start this get-together by telling a captivating story, or the musician might play a little tin whistle tune while the singer takes part in the musical ambiance. Soon enough, you too will be participating in the Ceilidh, and telling a story of your own, learning a song or two on the tin whistle, or the lyrics of a Scottish folk song.
For the adults, you will be offered a glass of fine Scottish whisky. Juices will be offered to your children. You might even get to learn how to wear a kilt!
These 2 hours are a perfect way to dive into the heart of Scottish traditions and really feel that you are with the locals. A cultural immersion that will create everlasting memories.

FAQ's
Is this a private activity?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining this Ceilidh, and you will have your own private Scottish “friends”: a musician, a singer and a storyteller. The room will be made private, but other people will be inside the Scotch Malt Whisky Society house.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Kids younger than 6 years old are welcome to join this experience, but since this is a cozy moment with friends and everyone is encouraged to participate, some children might not enjoy the rowdiness of the atmosphere.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
What kind of stories and music will we learn and hear?
Everything during the Ceilidh is traditional. The stories are stories told to adults and children in all the Scottish homes, and the music heard, played and learned are traditional tunes that might even have heard already.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
They will love this activity, as it is very interactive, and this is the best way to step inside the true traditions of Scotland with the locals.
