Bullfighting (la corrida) is part of the Spanish culture, and this introduction tour will focus on the traditional aspects of this controversial sport.

Meet your private, fully-licensed guide and let them tell you all about bullfighting in Spain. It all starts at Las Ventas arena, where you will be able to walk in the empty arena and have a “backstage” view.

Your guide will tell you all about the magnificent suits of light that the matadors wear during the bullfighting shows, as well as all the characteristics of this Spanish tradition.

The arena visit is followed by a more hands-on approach which takes place in Madrid’s countryside (20-minute drive). Hop into a private, fully-equipped Mercedes V-class minivan and head out to a special school where young matadors train to become the future stars of Spain. This facility also includes a museum dedicated to one of Spain’s most famous bullfighter, “El Juli”.

After this quick visit, a young bullfighter will demonstrate his techniques on a fake bull. Your children will then get a bit of training from the bullfighter himself, turning this activity into a hands-on experience they will never forget.

At the end, your chauffeur will bring you back to your hotel in Madrid.

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting Las Ventas arena at the same time.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this visit for kids aged 6 or older, to avoid any fright. Although everything is done to keep the attention away from the awful death of the bulls, there might be a picture or two that can surprise or shock small children.
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide skip-the-line tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided. The wait should not last long though.
Once the tour is finished, can we stay inside the facility?
The training facility outside Madrid is a private property, and once the tour is finished, you will have to leave the property. Besides, the chauffeur will be waiting for you, and unless you are willing to pay for extra time, it is better to leave when the activity is over.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, Las Ventas and the training facility is wheelchair and stroller friendly. There are elevators to bring people with reduced mobility to the upper floors.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure, they will! This is really a unique experience. They might not like the brutal end to this traditional Spanish sport, but the aura around it is quite amazing and captivating.
