Description

Meet your private photography teacher (an experienced photographer) and let them teach you the basics of photography.

This 2-hour fun-filled and educational hands-on activity generally takes place on the Trocadero, which offers spectacular views of the Eiffel Tower (or anywhere else in Paris if you don’t want the Iron Lady in the background).

It all starts with a 10-minute introduction to photography and the essential secrets to taking great pictures. After that, with the help of your private teacher, snap some great pictures of your family members with a beautiful, typically Parisian background. This course will also give you the opportunity to learn all the possibilities of modern smartphone cameras, or shoot manually on your digital reflex cameras. We can even provide reflex SLR cameras for you or your children.

Our professional photographer will also take some family pictures, so you will have a great souvenir of the time you spent in Paris. These will be sent by email later on.

Once the hands-on part is done, you will all get together in a typical Parisian café and enjoy a drink while looking at the pictures you took. The pictures will be given to you on a USB stick at the end of the tour.

FAQ's

Is this a private activity?
It sure is. Your family members will be the only ones participating in this photography class.
What happens if it rains?
The workshop generally takes place outdoors, on the Trocadero, which offers the most impressive view on the Eiffel Tower or near the Louvre Museum. If it rains, the workshop will still take place, but will be moved to another, covered area. This area (the iconic covered passageways of Paris for example) still looks very Parisian.
Will the parents participate in the workshop?
Of course! Everyone will be taking pictures of the rest of their family members.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Not really. Smaller children might know how to use a smartphone, but might not have the patience to take pictures for 2 hours. And they probably do not care about the technique, although your photography teacher is used to dealing with children. We recommend this for children above the age of 6.
Can we go elsewhere than in front of the Eiffel Tower?
Sure you can. Just tell us where you would like to go, and what iconic landmark you would love to have as a background on your picture and we will tell you where you will meet your teacher.
Do I need to bring special material?
If you do not have any camera, we can provide a maximum of 3 SLR cameras which you will share. But if you have modern smartphones, your photography teacher will work with that and teach you how to make great pictures with them.
Are we leaving the workshop with anything?
Once the shooting is finished, you will sit down in a café and take a look at the pictures you have taken. If you used one of our cameras (as opposed to your personal camera or smartphone), you will get a selection of the best photos on USB stick or by email.
