Paris With Toddlers – Itinerary

Day 1 – Cruising the Seine on a Private Yacht

yacht on the seine riverWelcome to Paris! Since you are travelling with small children, our English-speaking chauffeur will be awaiting your arrival at the train station or airport. His vehicle will be fully equipped for your kids’ safety, so you don’t have to worry at all about baby seats or boosters!

After a quick nap for the kids, our chauffeur will return to your hotel or apartment and drive you to the River Seine to hop aboard our Venetian yacht.

Experience the perfect family introduction to Paris as you admire its highlights from the best angle – the river. This trip offers a completely different perspective on some of the best spots the city has to offer: the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, the Musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, the Conciergerie, the Eiffel Tower and more. A truly magical, unforgettable 1.5-hour cruise.

When you arrive back on land, your private chauffeur will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel or apartment.

Day 2 – Baking Bread and Riding Scooters

child ride a scooterAfter your petit déjeuner (breakfast), it’s time for the day’s first bit of fun: a trip to our baking school

We’ve all heard of French bread, but did you know that it is virtually Paris’s most iconic food? If you have ever dreamt of baking your own baguette, then this is your ideal activity! Learn all there is to know about bread and how to make it before enjoying your own home-made brunch. All of this creativity and learning takes place in an environment specially designed for kids and lasts 2 hours.

After your delicious brunch à la française, you will meet our professional guide for fantastic opportunity to ride scooters around the Eiffel Tower area and down the banks of the River Seine. For two whole hours, you will glide past the main places of interest: the Invalides, the Eiffel Tower, the Pont Alexandre III bridge, and more. We will provide you with helmets, knee and elbow protections and scooters for all ages – we even have ones suitable for kids aged 2 years.

The tour finishes up at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. There you will trade in your scooter for a traditional horse and carriage, a unique way to see central Paris. You’ll even trot along the famous Champs Elysées! Overall the tour lasts 1 hour, and we will provide you with a map that indicates the different sights you’ll see along the way.

Your private chauffeur will be waiting at the end to pick you up and return you to your hotel or apartment.

Day 3 – Impressionist Painting Workshop and Science Museum

kids painting impressionist frescoFirst stop today is the Musée de l’Orangerie, home to Monet’s famous giant Water Lilies.

There your art instructor will give you a fantastic introduction to the techniques and styles of the Impressionists. After a quick visit and a chance to see the amazing pointillist masterpiece up close, you will hop in a taxi and make your way to the art studio in Saint Germain des Prés for your art class. Now it’s your chance to experiment on your own with your brand-new artistic talents. Two hours later, you will have had loads of fun with this hands-on painting class, and you will be able to go home with your very own Impressionist family chef d’œuvre!

When you have refueled with a bite of lunch, our chauffeur will take you to the Cité des Sciences, whose special kids area – the “Cité des Enfants” – is a paradise for young children. It is aimed at 2-7 year-olds, and children are free to explore and be as curious as they want. All the exhibitions there consist of fun, interactive and educational tours that give children the opportunity to discover all sorts of fascinating things. How dams work? Find out using a series of special water features… Why does snow form? Learn how with a mini-show. Our twist? We’ll make sure you go with pre-booked tickets to avoid disappointment.

Day 4 – The Montmartre Village

sacre coeur montmartre backYour chauffeur will meet you at your hotel or apartment bright and early and drive you to the bottom of Montmartre for a fun-filled tour that is just perfect for young children.

This tour round the “village de Montmartre” is a fantastic introduction to one of Paris’s best-known spots. As a neighborhood, it really has everything: mills for making bread, vineyards for its own wine, churches and a cemetery, several cabarets, and – best of all – a bright cast of famous inhabitants from throughout history. Are we really still in Paris?! For two hours, your guide will set you clues and riddles to find out the answer to this question. The private walk includes a game, an entertaining notebook, and entrance to the Montmartre museum.

When you have finished exploring this iconic and special place, our chauffeur will take you back to the hotel or apartment to pick you up your luggage and drive you to the airport. Au revoir, Paris!
