Description

Stonehenge and Bath’s Roman baths are probably two of the most iconic sites in England, and the stories and legends that fill these places never cease to amaze.

Meet your private Blue Badge guide and your chauffeur at your hotel in London and hop in a private fully-equipped Mercedes V-Class minivan to head out to Bath and Stonehenge.

Your first stop will be Bath, whose highlights include the famous ancient Roman thermal baths.

Follow your guide as they take you through this very well-preserved complex where the inhabitants of Bath used to bathe and socialize some 2,000 years ago. Our guide will explain the ingenuity of such a construction, which still rouses a sense of admiration even today.

After lunch (at leisure), your chauffeur will drive you to Stonehenge on the way back to London. Once in front of the curious rock layout, let your guide tell you about the stories, myths and legends of the druids that once inhabited the area some 5,000 years ago and how these people managed to build this sanctuary. You will also be able to see the inside of a reproduction of a typical house used in those days!

To keep the children entertained, they will each get a game booklet and a gift at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, the chauffeur will drive you back to London.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide and chauffeur throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting Bath and Stonehenge at the same time.
When is the best time to visit Bath and Stonehenge?
During the summer season and special holidays, there is no best time, as these two English landmarks are always very crowded. The best time is just before or right after summer.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
It is a long day, and there is a fair amount of time spent in the car. Unless you plan to say for a night in Bath, we would not recommend this tour for children under 6.
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide prepaid tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided. Expect some waiting time in front of the shuttle bus that links the visitor’s office to the Stonehenge sanctuary.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, it is possible to bring a stroller or a wheelchair in Bath and Stonehenge.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will! These two areas are so iconic, and a selfie inside these places will surely create a buzz on social media! Apart from that, the stories and the history of Bath and Stonehenge are fascinating, and even the toughest teenagers will surely listen to what the guide will tell them. They might not be interested in the game booklet though.
