Explore Windsor Castle, home of the Queen of England, on this privately guided, family-friendly tour of the State Rooms and Saint George’s chapel.
Meet your private Blue Badge guide and your chauffeur at your hotel and hop into your private Mercedes V-Class minivan to get to the famous Windsor Castle. Built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror after the Normal invasion of England, the castle has gone through many changes as the centuries went by, eventually becoming the preferred weekend home of Queen Elisabeth II.
Follow your guide as he/she will take you to the most iconic parts of the property, past the Round tower and its quaint little garden to the State Apartments. Admire the beauty of the interior of the palace, used today for hosting state visits, and learn about how a large part of the castle was destroyed during the fire of 1992 and rebuilt. Once you exit the State Apartments, let your guide lead you to Saint George’s Chapel, where royal weddings still occur today.
To keep the children engaged and entertained throughout the visit, they will each get a fun-filled game booklet. After this 1,5 to 2-hour tour, your private chauffeur and guide will drive you back to your hotel.
Attention: Windsor Castle is a working area, and the castle or the State Apartments might close without prior notice. For a more enjoyable and less crowded experience, it is better to plan this visit in the afternoon or arrive approx. 30mn before the opening time in the morning.
