Description

Hop on board your own private Venetian speedboat and, together with your private, fully-licensed guide, head out to the beautiful islands of the Venetian Lagoon.

Your first stop is Murano, famous for its glassware. Let your guide tell you all about the art of glass making and watch the artists as they create beautiful glass objects. If you are lucky, you and your children might even be able to blow in a tube just to experience what glassblowing is all about!

After a short walk on the island, jump back in the boat and head to the charming island of Burano, passing by other smaller islands along the way (but no stops).

Burano is full of colors, and no one can resist its unique charm. Follow your guide through the colorful streets and picturesque canals of the island. The kids will be able to run around and have fun, but still learn about the traditions and the heritage of this quaint little island. Everyone in your family will get to taste the local S shaped cookie, which is truly a delight!

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide and speedboat throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting the islands of the Venetian lagoon at the same time.
Is the glass maker another tourist trap?
We refuse to work with big factories that make you spend more time in their showroom than in their workshop. We try to partner with local artisans that have a passion for their work and don’t welcome huge groups of tourists. You can buy anything you like, but you are not obliged to.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Yes, kids of any age are welcome on this tour.
How long do we spend on the boat?
The speedboats in the Venice Lagoon have strict speed limits, but they do go faster than the public boats. You will be spending most of the time on the islands, discovering the highlights with your guide. About 45 minutes will be spent on the boat out of the 4 hours.
Can we be picked up or dropped off somewhere else than our hotel?
Sure, but it is important for us to know before, especially the pick up place. We can drop you off where ever you want as long as it is on Venice Island. If you prefer to be dropped off on Murano or if you want to stay longer on Burano, you can either choose to keep the guide and/or boat (extra charges will apply) or decide to take the public boat back to the hotel.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, it is possible to bring a stroller or wheelchair. You will have to carry it when crossing the several bridges on both Murano and Burano, but it is doable.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will. It is always nice to be on a boat. Moreover, Murano and Burano are very special, so these islands can make great social media pictures!
