Description
Meet your private, scientific guide, in front of the Oceanographic Museum, one of the most iconic highlights of Monaco, and let them accompany you in this unique exploration of the world that lies below the oceans.
Built in 1878 right off the cliff of “Le Rocher”, the Oceanographic Museum is not only a museum: it is an active research center which was directed by famous oceanographer Jacques Yves Cousteau for many years.
The visit starts with the higher floors of the museum. Let your marine biologist tell you all about the birth of this world-famous research center and the history of ocean exploration. Meet face to face with some of the most impressive creatures of the sea.
After about 20 minutes, you will head down into the aquarium. There is no better place to learn about marine ecosystems than the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Your marine biologist will explain how all the species are interconnected and the effect of man on these fragile ecosystems. To make it truly unique, follow your guide backstage and discover the other side of the water tanks.
Finally, you will be led to the tactile pool where an animator will let you touch some of the living organisms that can be found under water.
The mentioned price for this experience is for up to 5 participants. A supplement of 140 € will be applied for each additional participant.
