Description

The Palace of Versailles is one of the highlights when traveling to Paris and exploring the extended area of the Palace takes a full day.

In the morning, meet your private, fully licensed guide, and follow them as they take you on a visit of the King’s State Apartments and the Hall of Mirrors. To keep the young ones entertained and engaged, they will each receive a fun-filled game.

Once outside, you will enjoy a guided visit of some of the most iconic groves of the Palace’s gardens.

After lunch (at leisure), hop on your bicycles and let your guide take you to the other parts of the area, including the Trianon and Queen Marie Antoinette’s Hamlet. If you want to visit the inside, just ask!

After a full day exploring the Palace of Versailles, this iconic monument and its surroundings will have no more secrets for you and your family.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting the Palace of Versailles at the same time.
When is the best time to visit the Palace of Versailles?
The Palace can unfortunately get very crowded during the holidays and summer season. To avoid dense crowds, it is better to start the tour at the opening or later in the afternoon. But even then, it might get very busy.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
How can I get to Versailles?
The Palace of Versailles is not easily reachable by public transport. You will have to take the commuter train that links Paris to the city of Versailles several times per hour. Then, it is a 15-minute walk from the closest station of Versailles to the Palace. The best and most convenient way is to book a private chauffeur. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange transportation for you.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
This tour is not suitable for kids under the age of 6, because of the length of the tour and the cycling bit (bicycles for very young children are not available)
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide skip-the-line tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided.
How long and how difficult is the bicycle tour?
The park around the Palace of Versailles is flat so the level of difficulty of this bicycle tour is very easy. There are numerous stops along the way to visit other areas such as the Trianon and the Queen’s hamlet, and this limits the physical efforts.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour. And the cycling part is fun!
