Description

Meet your private, fully-licensed chauffeur guide at your hotel in Florence and hop into a comfortable, luxurious minivan to start discovering the beautiful region of Chianti. Not only is this region famed for its wine, but it also has many small villages and fascinating historical sites that will keep everyone in your family engaged and entertained throughout the full day tour.

Follow your guide as they take you to places such as Castello Di Gabbiano, Greve in Chianti and Montefioralle where the famous Italian navigator Amerigo Vespucci was born.

Following the lunch break (at leasure in a highly recommended family-friendly restaurant along the way), your guide will take you to the old abbey of Badia a Passignano, followed by an introduction to the art of making olive oil. This ends with a tasting that everyone will enjoy.

At the end of the day, your chauffeur guide will take you back to Florence. The children will each get a fun-filled game booklet to keep them engaged and entertained throughout the tour.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private chauffeur guide throughout the visit. All the visited places are open to the public so there will be other visitors.
Is there a lot of driving during the tour?
You will spend a bit of time in the minivan, but there are many stops, so you and your family will not have the impression of having spent the whole day in the vehicle!
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend a minimum age of 6, as this is too long a day for younger children.
What happens if it rains?
The tour will take place, even if it rains. Just make sure you bring an umbrella or rain jacket.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will. They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt his/her speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
