Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit, as well as a boat for the cruise. However, there will be other people visiting the area, and the island can be crowded during high season.
When is the best time to visit the Islands of Lérins?
There are a lot of people wanting to visit the Islands of Lérins in summer, so don’t expect to be on your own during the high season. Otherwise, visiting the Islands of Lérins just before or right after summer (May or September) is the best time to visit.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an experience together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this experience alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this visit for kids aged 6 or older as it can turn out to be a long half day. Seasickness can be an issue, and apart from the beach, there is no real area where the very young children can go play.
How long will we stay in the boat?
It takes around 20 minutes to get to the Lérins Islands from Cannes, and the same to return. From Sainte Marguerite to Saint Honorat Honorat, just a few minutes by boat.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Of course you can! The views are truly spectacular and both islands are truly charming. It would be a shame not to visit them, and even if teenagers aren't immediately captivated by the Islands of Lérins, they'll remember them fondly when they're older.
Will there be time to take a swim during the tour?
Unfortunately, strong currents between the islands, and the half-day time frame of the tour will not allow you and your family enjoy a swim in the sea. However, it is possible to extend the tour to allow for a relaxation time by the island beaches.
