Becoming A Scotland Yard Detective

Learn how to become a true detective during this fun-filled, hands-on workshop.

Local Customs & Traditions
Private venue

Meet your private detective, who happens to be a real crime-solving member of Scotland Yard, and let them tell you all about the secrets and tricks to lead a successful forensic investigation.
A crime has been committed somewhere in London. Your family has been called in to solve the case using all the forensic techniques known today. In a private area (generally a secluded area in London in a pub), lies a (fake) skeleton on the floor. Will you be able to gather enough hidden evidence and solve the case in time?
Your private detective will give you all the advice and knowledge you need to find out who the killer really is. With their help, find the evidence left by the murderer and solve the case. To do that, you will be asked to dress up in special investigation clothes and use modern forensic techniques such as shoe- and finger-printing, as well as the traditional magnifying glasses, and much more.
Learning about the different techniques used by the police and detectives in real-life situations is educative, while the hands-on experience of solving a case while the clock is ticking will get everyone entertained. It's elementary, my dear Watson!

Is this tour private?

Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private workshop, and you will have a private detective to yourself. The full area where this activity is taking place is not entirely made private, but you will have a special secluded place just for your family.

Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?

The investigation and the material used to identify the criminal are great for children above the age of 6, but younger children are more than welcome to join. They will need the help of the parents or older siblings. Please remember that the detective there with you is not a baby sitter.

Are the parents staying with the children or separated?

We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you chose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).

Are drinks offered during this workshop?

Although this activity usually takes place in a pub, drinks are not included in the package (except for water). If you wish to have a drink (alcoholic or not), these will be charged directly to you and will have to be paid just like in a normal bar.

Will my teenage kids like the tour?

Sure they will. As a matter of fact, even adults are truly fascinated by this activity!
