Meet your private Blue Badge guide at the exit of High Street Kensington Tube station and follow them through the streets of London that will lead your family to Kensington Palace.

Your children will each get a game booklet and, if they answer everything correctly, they are the ones who will bring you to the palace. Kensington Palace has been a Royal residence since the 17th century, and this is the official residence of Prince William and Duchess Kate.

Inside the Palace are many fascinating items to be seen and stories to be told. You will even see Queen Victoria’s doll house and other curiosities that members of the Royal Family have played with during their childhood years in Kensington.

Your guide will also take you outside into the Kensington Gardens where you can imagine how royal children used to live and play around these areas in the past.

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting Kensington Palace and Garden at the same time.
When is the best time to visit Kensington Palace?
The summer months are always busy at Kensington Palace. The monument does not provide skip-the-line tickets so there might be a bit of waiting in line because of security checks.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this visit for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. Younger children can participate, but the guide will probably spend more time in the garden so the young ones can run around.
Is Kensington Palace more for girls than for boys?
Although we will keep any child engaged during this tour, it is true that the interior of Kensington Palace will probably please the girls more than the boys: collection of dresses and other royal clothing, Queen Victoria’s doll house, etc.
Once the tour is finished, can we stay inside the Palace or go back in?
You will have to purchase another ticket if you want to go back inside the Palace.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, Kensington Palace and Garden is wheelchair friendly and there are elevators to bring disabled people to the upper floors. Strollers are also welcome.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure, they will. They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
