Description

The big round cheeses are an iconic and delicious part of the Dutch culture, and making your own is something you and your family will enjoy.

Meet your private, experienced cheese maker in a charming farm in the Dutch countryside near Amsterdam. Here is your chance to discover the beautiful, flat countryside of the Netherlands. The family-run farm has cows, and with the milk, they produce their own cheese.

In a more modern room (for sanitary reasons), you will handle all the natural ingredients used to make the cheese: milk, salt and everything that derives from the mix. During the few pauses in between each step of the process, you will be offered some pie and a hot (or cold) beverage. If you are lucky, and depending on the time, you might even get to feed the cows and calves.

You will not be able to take your cheese back home (it needs time to mature), but you will not be leaving empty handed: each member of your family will get a similar cheese that you will be able to enjoy when you are back at the hotel or home.
