Description

When it comes to glass, Murano has a worldwide reputation, so let us take you to a private, authentic workshop . There, you and your family will learn about the glass making techniques that the glass makers of Murano have used for centuries… and make your own Murano glass object.

Meet your private, passionate glass maker in his quaint little workshop , and let them introduce you to their amazing art. This workshop is far superior than crowded touristic glass factories on the island of Murano.

After a few instructions and safety tips, start creating colorful glass tiles. You can do what you want, but for a perfect Venetian souvenir, you might want to recreate an iconic Venetian monument or symbol such as St. Mark’s Campanile or a winged lion!

Just follow the instructions of the glass maker, and creat your own  beautiful glass creation in 2 hours.

And for adults and older children, your private glass maker will even let you manipulate the blowpipe.

Because glass needs to cook for at least 24 hours, you will need to collect your creations in the following days.

FAQ's

Is this a private activity?
It sure is. Your family members will be the only ones in the glass workshop, along with your private glass maker.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Will the parents participate in the workshop?
Of course! Everyone will be creating their own works. That is the fun part!
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Younger kids can participate in this activity, but remember that our private glass maker is not a babysitter, and parents will have to keep an eye on their young ones. Getting close to a flame or fire will be strictly forbidden for young children.
Do I need to bring special material?
No! You do not need to bring anything as all the material is prepared for you.
Are we leaving the workshop with anything?
It depends on your creation! Some will be ready at the end of the workshop, others will require at least 24 hours to cool. We can have your creations delivered to your hotel, or we can arrange for them to be shipped to you (extra costs apply for shipping).
Will my teenage kids like the activity?
If they like arts & crafts, they will love this hands-on activity.
