Description
Meet your private, experienced wine expert at the entrance of this local winery and let them tell you all about the secrets to making great tasting wine.
We have designed a family-friendly tour, where children will learn just as much as adults about how the grapes are grown and how wine is made. Only the tasting part at the end will differ, as children will not taste any wine (juices will be served)!
The private tour starts with the visit of the vineyards located on top of a cliff. Depending on the season, you will understand how the grapes get their color and taste depending on the sun and the type of ground they grew in.
Then, make your way into the unique wine cellar dug directly inside a cliff (troglodyte cave). This is where you and your children will listen to information on the fermentation barrels and understand the different stages of the wine making process. You will even see fossils dating back from millions of years ago.
The wine tasting part comes last, and for younger children, grape or apple juice is available. Snacks made from local delicatessens such as goat cheese and cured meats are also offered.
At the end of the tour, each adult will be offered a bottle of their choice.
This tour is available in the following languages : English, French
