Description

Meet your private, fully-licensed guide and let them walk you through Barcelona’s exciting and interesting Picasso museum. Located in the heart of the old and charming Born district, the museum highlights Picasso’s life, from his youth in Barcelona to his worldwide notoriety. The collection is presented chronologically, making it very interesting to see how Picasso went from realism to cubism. This one-hour visit ends with the 42 paintings of Picasso’s version of Las Meninas. Your guide will then walk you to the workshop.

After a brief introduction on Picasso’s Cubist techniques, it will be your turn to paint your own Picasso using either pastels or paint to reproduce it.

All you need to do is follow the instructions of your private, professional art teacher, and you will have your very own Picasso at home! This painting will be easy to roll and bring back home, making it a great souvenir of the lovely time you and your children spent together in Barcelona.

FAQ's

Is this a private activity?
It sure is. You will have your own private guide inside the museum, and your family will be the only one in the art workshop, along with your private art teacher. There will be other people visiting the museum at the same time though.
Do the parents participate?
Of course! Everyone will be creating their own masterpiece. That is the fun part!
When is the best time to visit the Picasso Museum?
During the months of summer, the museum can be very busy. It is always better to go there at the time it opens to avoid having to elbow your way through the crowd. During the low season, it gets less crowded.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
It is better to keep the age limit of 6 for this experience, mostly because of the first part at the museum.
Is it far to walk from the museum to the workshop?
It will take you about 5 to 10 minutes by foot to reach the workshop after leaving the museum.
Can I paint something else than a reproduction of Picasso?
The idea of this workshop is to introduce you and your family to Picasso and his painting technique. But should you want to do something different, in the likes of Picasso, you are more than welcome to. At the end, creating a family-bonding moment where everyone enjoys themselves is what matters most.
Do I need to bring special material?
No! You do not need to bring anything as all the material is prepared for you.
Are we leaving the workshop with anything?
Of course, you will leave the workshop with your creations. We will make sure that these are not too bulky and heavy, so you can easily put them in your suitcase.
Will my teenage kids like the activity?
