Description

Chocolate is often described as the food of the Gods, as its rich taste and mood-boosting properties often seem magical. Paris is home to some of the world’s best finely-skilled chocolate artisans, and this is your chance to discover (and taste) their delicious creations.

Meet your private, fully qualified French pastry chef and chocolate connoisseur for a chocolate experience you and your family will never forget.

It all starts with an introductory tasting experience, and a brief exposé on the history of chocolate.

Then, embark on a 45-minute walking tour of the chic Saint Honoré neighborhood, exploring and tasting several of the award-winning chocolatiers in the area. Have your gift list ready, as you will surely be tempted to purchase (but not an obligation) some of the incredible chocolates, jarred confections, and recipe books that these shops have to offer.

Finally, once back at the privatized chocolate atelier, follow the chocolatier’s simple instructions and start creating some of your very own chocolates to take with you once you leave. Each tour will be adjusted according to your children’s ages, and if you prefer milk or dark chocolate.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private chef (chocolate connoisseur) throughout the experience. There will be people in the boutiques though, but you will be on your own again during the chocolate making workshop.
Is there a lot of walking during the tour?
No. All the boutiques are located on the same block.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
Although they might not appreciate the fine chocolates normally tasted during the walking tour, the boutiques will offer very basic milk chocolates for the youngsters. They will have fun during the chocolate workshop though. It is not recommended for children under the age of 4.
Can we buy chocolate in the boutiques (at a preferential rate)?
All the chocolate you will taste can be purchased in the boutiques (but no obligation). That’s what they are there for. The price paid for any purchase is the public price: all these chocolates are fairly priced when taking into consideration the finesse and workmanship.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Unfortunately, the workshop is not accessible to people with reduced mobility as it is only accessible through a flight of narrow stairs. Strollers are accepted if folded when going down the stairs.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
If they like chocolate, they will love the tour.
