Meet your private, fully-licensed guide and enter the Vatican, the smallest country in the world and home to the Pope. This enclave within the city of Rome holds a lot of fascinating and priceless treasures, including the Sistine Chapel and Saint Peter’s Basilica.

Follow your guide as he/she turns this visit into an unforgettable experience for your whole family. Our skip-the-line tickets will grant you an easy entrance inside the Vatican Museum. Then, follow your guide through a part of the museum in order to reach the famous Sistine Chapel where you will witness Michelangelo’s masterpiece.

The tour ends inside the jaw-dropping Saint Peter’s Basilica, the biggest basilica in the world.

Not only will our experienced guide keep your children entertained with great fun facts and interesting stories, but each child will get a game booklet that will make this cultural visit both enjoyable and interesting.

To avoid the oppressing crowds and heat during the summer, we suggest you book our privileged Early Morning Access. For this, please contact us.

FAQ's

Is this tour private?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the visit. However, there will be other people visiting the Vatican at the same time.
How long will we stay in the Sistine Chapel?
Absolute silence is requested inside the Sistine Chapel, so you will not be able to talk, nor will the guide be able to give you explanations. Pictures are not allowed. So, while the time is not limited, you will probably stay not more than 10 minutes inside the Chapel.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
When is the best time to visit the Vatican?
During the summer season, it gets incredibly hot and crowded in the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel (no air conditioning), which is something you will want to avoid, especially when traveling with children. An early morning Access tour (8:30AM) is available, please contact us for details (supplements apply). Otherwise, try to come later in the day, 3 hours before it closes.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this tour for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. Our family-friendly guide will be able to adapt to younger children if necessary.
Will we have to wait in line?
We provide skip-the-line tickets, but on very busy days, there might be a line for security checks which cannot be avoided.
Once the tour is finished, can we stay inside Saint Peter’s Basilica?
It is possible to stay inside Saint Peter’s Basilica, but it will not be possible to get back to the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museum.
Can I bring a stroller or a wheelchair?
Yes, the Vatican is stroller and wheelchair friendly. The only part which is not accessible to them is the climb up the dome because of the stairs.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, the Vatican enforces a strict dress code (if not met, you will be denied entry). Shoulders, arms, and knees must be covered, and hats are not allowed.
