Description

Gondolas are an iconic part of Venice, and no trip to Venice would be complete without a gondola ride through its charming canals.

Meet your private guide and explore the narrow streets of the city by foot. You will discover some hidden highlights and curiosities such as the Bovolo Staircase (it offers an amazing view of the city), the iconic Teatro La Fenice and, last but not least, Saint Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs.

After the walking tour, enjoy a 30-minute Gondola ride through the inner canals and the Grand Canal. And if you want to hear the gondolier sing, just ask!

While you enjoy the beauty and charm of the city, your children will try to bring you from the Rialto Bridge to the Bridge of Sighs as part of their very engaging and entertaining game booklet.

FAQ's

Is this a private tour?
Yes, it is. No one else will be joining your private tour, and you will have your own private guide throughout the tour. You will be the only people on the gondola. However, there will be other people on other gondolas, and in the streets of Venice.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
We recommend this tour for kids aged 6 or older, because they must know how to read and write in order to enjoy the fun-filled game booklet. But our family-friendly guide will be able to adapt to younger children if necessary.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a babysitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes (our guides are not responsible for the children).
How difficult is the walking part?
Venice is all about bridges. So you’ll be walking up and down these bridges during the walking part. It is not overly difficult, but people with reduced mobility will have certain difficulties participating in this tour (at least for the walking part).
What happens if it rains during the tour?
Unless the gondolas are not allowed to navigate by law, the tour will not be cancelled. You will have to bring an umbrella or raincoats. During the walking tour, the rain will be less of a problem.
Can we decide where to go with the Gondolier?
The gondoliers have fixed routes that can be slightly adapted, but they are not 100% flexible. The same goes for the time, as they are booked for a certain amount of time. The gondola ride will not last more than 30 minutes. Rest assured, you will have had a wonderful time even though it might sound a bit too short.
Will my teenage kids like the tour?
Sure they will! They might not want to have the game booklet, but since it is a private tour, our professional guide will adapt their speech to keep your teenagers engaged and entertained throughout the tour.
