DAY 2: VAN GOGH IN PROVENCE
Meet your private chauffeur/guide at your hotel and follow him/her in the footsteps of the great Post-Impressionist painter. Spend a full day looking back at his period in Provence, from Arles to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and compare the present with some of his most famous paintings.
Starting with Arles, see where Van Gogh used to live (The Yellow House), where he painted A Starry Night Over The Rhône as well as many other places that inspired him. Your kid-friendly guide will add many details and fun facts to make it extra special for the young ones. Lunch at leisure.
After this full exploration of Arles, your chauffeur/guide will drive you to the former mental hospital of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (Saint Paul de Mausole) where Van Gogh once stayed in. Here too, you will be able to compare his paintings with what remains of the mental institution and its gardens.

DAY 3: MEDIEVAL CASTLES AND QUARRIES
In the morning, meet your private chauffeur/guide at your hotel and follow them as they take you through the very small streets of Les Baux de Provence. Although this village only has 300 inhabitants, it is considered as one of the most beautiful villages in France. As you climb to the top of the hill, your guide will tell you all about the history of this town, and also about the castle dominating the town.
The highlight of the village is its medieval fortress built on top of the hill, offering a beautiful view on the surrounding areas. A great way to spot any incoming enemy during the Middle Ages.
On your way down and past the village, you will stop at yet another remarkable area: les Carrières de Lumières (the Quarries of Light). Set in an abandoned quarry dug within the mountain, this sound and light show is fabulous in every way, both for adults and children. The works of art by selected world famous artists (the projections change every year) are projected on the huge walls of the quarry, turning this dark cave into a fun-filled museum.
Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, and depending on your train schedule, your chauffeur will drive you to Avignon train station.
