ITINERARY
DAY 1: GONDOLA AND WALKING TOUR
Your English-speaking chauffeur will welcome you at the airport. Hop into the fully-equipped Mercedes V-class minivan and let them drive you comfortably to the island of Venice where you will then take a private boat to reach your hotel. Lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, meet your private, fully-licensed guide and let them take you to the pier where your private gondola awaits. Enjoy a 40-minute ride through the inner canals, the Grand Canal and under Rialto Bridge. Once you have docked near the iconic bridge, it’s time to explore the narrow streets of the city by foot. Follow your guide as they take you to other highlights and more hidden curiosities such as the Bovolo Staircase (it offers an amazing view), Teatro La Fenice, Saint Mark’s Square and the Bridge of Sighs. While you enjoy the beauty and charm of the city, your children will try to bring you from the Rialto Bridge to the Bridge of Sighs as part of their entertaining game booklet.
DAY 2: SAINT MARK'S SQUARE AND THE CARNIVAL
In the morning, meet your private, fully-licensed guide in front of the Doge’s Palace, and follow them as they take you to the major highlights of Saint Mark’s Square, the most iconic square of Venice. This tour starts off with a visit of the Doge’s Palace. Next comes the visit of Saint Mark’s Basilica. On the square, you will also gaze at its overall beauty, with the bell tower and the buildings surrounding the square. The tour ends with a non-guided visit of the Campanile (with skip-the-line access to the top). A game booklet is given to each child to ensure they will learn as much as they have fun. Lunch at leisure in the area.
In the afternoon, meet your private fully-licensed guide in front of the Ca’Rezzonico museum. The first part of this experience is a privately guided tour of the museum, with a special focus on the carnival tradition. After this 45-minute visit and a 15-minute walk, your guide will drop you off at one of the best mask-making workshops in the city. Let your private, experienced art teacher give you the necessary instructions to make your carnival mask using feathers, glitter, paint etc. By the end of this 2-hour hands-on workshop, each member of your family will leave with their own personal carnival mask.
DAY 3: THE ISLANDS OF THE VENETIAN LAGOON
In the morning, hop on-board your own private Venetian speedboat and, together with your guide, head out to the beautiful islands of the Venetian Lagoon. Your first stop is Murano, famous for its glassware. Let your guide tell you all about the art of glass-making and watch the artists as they create beautiful glass objects. After a short walk on the island, jump back onto the boat and head to the charming and colourful island of Burano. The kids will be able to run around and still learn about the traditions and the heritage of this quaint little island. Everyone in your family will get to taste the local S shaped cookie, which is truly a delight! At the end of the visit, the boat will bring you back to your hotel.
Depending on your flight schedule, our boat driver will drive you to the airport.
