ITINERARY
DAY 1: THE CANALS OF AMSTERDAM
Meet your private chauffeur at the airport or train station and let them drive you safely to your hotel. Lunch at leisure.
After lunch, meet your private, experienced guide in front of the Canal Museum. Before you enjoy a fun-filled private boat tour on the canals of Amsterdam, passing by its most iconic highlight, you will get an interactive visit of the museum to learn more about how Amsterdam was built.
DAY 2: THE STORY OF ANNE FRANK & CYCLING IN HOLLAND
Your private chauffeur and your guide will pick you up at the hotel and take you to where Anne Frank grew up. The 4-hour tour then continues to the Anne Frank House, where she and her family hid during Nazi Occupation between 1942 and 1945. The tour ends at the Holocaust Memorial in Amsterdam. This tour is charged with emotion and yet is one of the best things you can experience in the city. Lunch at leisure
After lunch, meet your guide near the bicycle renting shop. After choosing your bicycle (minimum age: 12 years old), ride along the banks of the Amstel River to get a glimpse of Holland’s countryside landscapes. From small rivers to fields and windmills, you and your family will enjoy a wonderful and safe bicycle ride with your private guide.
DAY 3: VAN GOGH MUSEUM & WORKSHOP
In the morning, follow your private, fully-licensed guide as they take you past the long waiting lines into the most famous museum in Amsterdam: the Van Gogh museum. Follow your guide as you discover the chronological evolution of this famous Post-Impressionist painter, from the Potato Eaters to the Sunflowers to some of his most famous self portraits. Lunch at leisure.
After lunch, meet your private art teacher in a modern yet charming workshop in Amsterdam. Start with a brief understanding of Van Gogh’s painting techniques and before you know it, everyone in the family will be either reproducing one of Van Gogh’s famous paintings, or create their own Post Impressionist masterpiece using the same colors and techniques as the Dutch master.
DAY 4: THE DUTCH COUNTRYSIDE AND WINDMILLS
Meet your private, fully licensed guide and your chauffeur at your hotel. From a local local milk farm, where you will learn all about the life at a farm today, to a XVIIth century village called De Rijp where you will be able to understand what it was to be a villager at hat time, this tour is a great way to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful countryside. After visiting a typical windmill, you will make your own milk in a special, family-friendly farm. Lunch at leisure.
