4 Days in Giverny & Normandy

DAY 1: GIVERNY & MONET'S HOUSE

In the morning, your private chauffeur-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Paris and drive you to Giverny, a charming town where Impressionist painter Claude Monet spent 43 years. Follow your guide through the house and gardens and discover where Monet got the inspiration behind some of his most iconic masterpieces. Lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, you will take the train from Giverny to Bayeux, where you will settle into your hotel.

DAY 2: UNDERSTANDING D-DAY AT OMAHA BEACH

D-Day is a turning point in modern history and this kid-friendly full day excursion is the best way to help everyone understand what happened on June 6th, 1944. In the morning, your private, fully-licensed chauffeur-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bayeux and drive you to La Cambe German war cemetery, and afterwards to Pointe du Hoc and Omaha Beach, where many young soldiers lost their lives on that fateful day. Lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, your guide will take you to the Overlord Museum, which houses a collection of old tanks and other armored vehicles used during the war, and the American Cemetery, just in time for the flag ceremony. To make this discovery entertaining and engaging for the children, and to help them understand what D-Day was all about, they will each get an educational game booklet. At the end of the day, your chauffeur-guide will take you back to your hotel.

DAY 3: EXPLORING THE MONT-SAINT-MICHEL

In the morning, your private, fully-licensed chauffeur-guide will pick you up at your hotel in Bayeux and drive you to the Mont-Saint-Michel. After a 1.5-hour drive, you will reach the parking lot and take a shuttle bus to the island (provided that there is enough time, you can even walk there). Follow your guide as they take you through the narrow streets of this medieval town, all the way up to the abbey. After a detailed and fun-filled visit of the abbey and monastery, where many medieval monks used to copy and illuminate manuscripts back in the Middle Ages before becoming a prison, you will have lunch at leisure.

In the afternoon, your chauffeur-guide will take you to Avranches where you will either have a family-friendly visit the Scriptorium, a fun, interactive museum where the remaining old manuscripts of the Mont-Saint-Michel are exposed, or visit a factory where they make church bells. At the end of the day, your chauffeur-guide will bring you back to your hotel in Bayeux.

DAY 4: THE CHARMS OF HONFLEUR & DEAUVILLE

In the morning, meet your private experienced chauffeur-guide at your hotel in Bayeux and hop in a luxurious, fully-equipped Mercedes V-Class minivan. This day is dedicated to the discovery of one of Normandy’s most popular and scenic regions: Calvados.

After a 1.5-hour drive through the traditional landscapes of the region, you will reach the quaint little town of Honfleur, with its lovely old harbor. Follow your guide through the small streets of Honfleur, passing by some of its highlights, including the old wooden church. Lunch at leisure.

Afternoon: Deauville

After lunch, hop back into the minivan. Your chauffeur-guide will drive you to Deauville, taking the scenic route along the coast. Deauville is the Parisian’s number one destination for a seaside break, with beautiful villas, luxury boutiques and a beautiful promenade along the beach.

Late afternoon: back to Paris

In the late afternoon, you will take the train back to Paris.
