DAY 2: WESTMINSTER, BUCKINGHAM AND BISCUITS

Morning: Westminster and Buckingham Palace

In the morning, meet your private guide in front of the Queen’s Gallery. The first stop of the tour will be Buckingham Palace, where you will see the world famous changing of the guards (only on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Your guide will tell you all about the Royal Family and the history of the Windsors. After a delightful walk through St. James’s Park, you will be able to take a peek at the famous Downing Street (where the Prime Minister lives).

The tour ends inside one of the most iconic monuments of London: Westminster Abbey. Not only will your guide mention the wedding of Duchess Kate and Prince William (along with so many other past Kings and Queens of England), but you will also learn about the many historial figures who are buried in this magnificent abbey. Each child will get a game booklet to keep them engaged throughout the tour. Lunch at leisure in the area.

Afternoon: Ice your Own Biscuits

In the afternoon, meet your private pastry chef in a charming workshop. During this 1.5-hour workshop, your family will learn how to create some of Britain’s iconic biscuit designs: Crowns! Taxis! Buses! Corgis! Guards! And yes… even more crowns! At the end of the class, you’ll get to take these skills home with you, including a keepsake kid’s apron for each child, so that you can continue to practice these techniques at home.

DAY 3: THE TOWER OF LONDON & SHERLOCK HOLMES

Morning: Exploring the Tower of London

In the morning, meet your private guide in front of the Tower of London. For over 900 years, the Tower of London has dominated the city’s skyline. Follow your family-friendly guide as they tell you about the secrets of the Tower of London and its world-famous Crown Jewels. Other highlights include the memorial on Tower Green, the beautiful Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula, the famous ravens and raven-masters, Traitor’s Gate, and the “Bloody Tower”. To make sure your kids have a wonderful moment, our guide will hand out a fun-filled game booklet. Lunch at leisure in the area.

Afternoon: In the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes

In the afternoon, meet your private Blue Badge guide in front of Saint Paul’s Cathedral and follow them as they take you and your family on a 2-hour walking tour you will never forget. The stories your guide will tell you will send shivers down your spine, regardless of the age of your children, but are also a great way to learn more about the city and the treasure it hides. Your family will also get a chance to see the outside of St. Bartholomew The Great church (aka Great St. Bart’s). To keep the children engaged and entertained throughout the tour, they will be handed out a game booklet designed more or less like a game of Clue (Cluedo). They will have to open their eyes and ears in order to find who the murderer is!
