ITINERARY
DAY 1: A WALK THROUGH NAPLES
Meet your private chauffeur at the airport or train station and let them drive you safely to your hotel. Lunch at leisure.
After lunch, discover the old historical district of Naples through this family-friendly, privately-guided tour. Let your private, family-friendly guide take you to main highlights of the old part of town, from Saint Janarius Cathedral to Santa Chiara convent by way of via San Gregorio Armeno, the Sansevero Chapel and Piazza San Dominico. A game booklet will help the children learn as much as they have fun on this captivating walking tour.
DAY 2: POMPEII & PIZZA MAKING CLASS
Early morning, your private chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to Pompeii. There, you will meet your private, fully-licensed guide at the entrance of Pompeii (Porta Marina Superior) and let them take you through the ruins of this ancient Roman city to discover the forum, which was the heart of the city, the “basilica” (which, in those times, was not a church, but a tribunal), the thermal baths, a few houses and shops, and the theater. To keep the children engaged and entertained throughout this 3-hour tour, they will each get a game booklet. Your chauffeur will bring you back to your hotel. Lunch at leisure.
In the late afternoon, meet your private, experienced chef (pizzaiolo) in the comfort of a private cooking school located in the heart of Naples. Listen to your chef while they give you the tips, tricks and secrets to making traditional Neapolitan pizza. From kneading the dough to working on the toppings, everyone will get their hands deliciously dirty! You’ll even learn how to toss and turn the pizza dough to make it nice and round! At the end, you’ll be eating what you have prepared.
DAY 3: EXPLORING THE AMALFI COAST
Meet your private, fully-licensed guide and your chauffeur at your hotel in Naples, and hop into a private, fully-equipped Mercedes V-Class minivan to reach the Amalfi coast. After a 1.5-hour drive, you will reach Ravello, a charming town perched in the mountains. After visiting Ravello and the Vila Cimbrone, hop back into the minivan and head out to Amalfi, a town listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the visits there is the Amalfi Cathedral, which holds the relics of the town’s patron saint, Saint Andrew. Lunch at leisure
The last and final stop is Positano. Let your guide take you through its narrow winding pedestrian streets all the way down to the small beach while pointing out a few curiosities and telling you about the history of this hillside town. If there is time, you might want to take a swim (towels not included). At the end of the day, the driver will take you back to your hotel in Naples.
DAY 4: MONUMENTAL NAPLES & DEPARTURE
In the morning, follow your guide as they take you to the monumental buildings of Piazza Municipio: the Galleria Umbert I, the Castel Nuovo and the Opera House. You will also discover the exterior of places such as the Royal Palace and the Piazza del Plebiscito. Then hop into a private van and let your guide and driver take you to some scenic spots in and outside Naples: Castle Sant’Elmo, Castle dell’Ovo and the lush hillside area of Posillipo. The driver will drop you back at the hotel at the end of the tour. Lunch at leisure.
