ITINERARY

DAY 1: CYCLING THROUGH BARCELONA

Morning: Arrival in Barcelona

At your arrival, your English-speaking chauffeur will welcome you at the airport. Hop into the fully-equipped Mercedes V-class minivan and let him drive you comfortably to your hotel. Lunch at leisure.

Afternoon: Cycling Through Barcelona

Meet your private, family-friendly guide at your hotel and get ready for a fun-filled bike ride through the streets of Barcelona, a city famed for its modernism and way of life. After a short walk to where the bicycles are stored and a few safety instructions, hop on your bikes and follow your guide as they take you to some of Barcelona’s most impressive architectural highlights, using only safe, dedicated bike lanes in the city. Along the way, you will discover some of the older architectural highlights such as Gaudí’s Casa Batlló & Casa Milà or the stunning Arc de Triomf. You will also get a glimpse of the more modern architectural curiosities of the city. This 3-hour bicycle tour is a great way to explore the city and see as many things as possible, yet taking the time and enjoying the slow pace of a pleasant and safe bike ride.

DAY 2: SAGRADA FAMILIA, PARK GÜELL AND PAELLA COOKING CLASS

Morning: The Sagrada Familia & Park Güell

In the morning, meet your private, fully-licensed guide at the Sagrada Familia, and listen to the stories about this unique and impressive church, its architecture, construction and future (it’s still being built after all these years). After 1.5 hours spent in the Sagrada Familia, hop into our private luxurious minivan and head out to Park Güell. You will witness the beauty of Gaudí’s mosaics as well as enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of Barcelona. Lunch at leisure in the area.

Afternoon: Paella Time

In the comfort of a private kitchen in the heart of Barcelona, meet your private, experienced chef and follow their  instructions in order to prepare a great-tasting, traditional Spanish paella. While cooking the rice, chicken and fresh seafood, enjoy this unique, family-friendly and hands-on cooking experience. You will also prepare a classic Spanish starter such as gazpacho and a dessert like crema catalana, which is similar to crème brulée! This hands-on cooking class is designed to be a family-friendly experience: the children will participate and play an important role in the cooking process. At the end of the class, everyone gets to sit at the dining table to eat the traditional seafood paella you have prepared! Simply delicious!

DAY 3: LA BOQUERIA FOOD TOUR & PICASSO EXPERIENCE

Morning: La Boqueria Food Tour

In the morning, meet your private, experienced foodie guide and let them take you through the narrow alleyways of La Boqueria Market, which is Barcelona’s most popular market and where even the best professional chefs get their ingredients from. Along with your private, foodie guide start your search for some of the best local delicacies in the smaller, more intimate parts of the market. From olives to ham, from edible flowers to salted cod and from sweet treats to delicious ice-cream, this is your chance to taste the exquisite flavors of Barcelona. Lunch at leisure (if you are still hungry!).

Afternoon: Painting Like Picasso

In the afternoon, meet your private, experienced art teacher and follow their instructions in order to reproduce one of Picasso’s masterpieces. After a brief introduction on Picasso’s Cubist techniques, it will be your turn to choose your favorite Picasso painting and use either pastel or paint to reproduce it on your own. All you need to do is follow the instructions of the professional art teacher, and you will have your very own Picasso at home! This painting will be easy to roll and bring back home, making it a great souvenir of the lovely time you and your children spent together in Barcelona.

DAY 4: SAILING IN BARCELONA

Morning: Sailing in Barcelona

In the morning, meet your private skipper and let them take you away from the Olympic port to show you places such as the Sagrada Familia, Las Ramblas, the beaches, the Barceloneta fisherman’s quarter and many more from the sea. Although they are not a fully-licensed guide, they will still be able to tell you interesting facts about the history of Barcelona. You and your children will be able to enjoy a wide variety of different water activities and toys. A swim in the Mediterranean is always a great way to cool down from the heat and have fun!

Afternoon: Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, your chauffeur will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the airport.
