DESCRIPTION

Meet your private experienced chauffeur-guide at your hotel in Bayeux and hop in a luxurious, fully-equipped Mercedes V-Class minivan. This day is dedicated to the discovery of one of Normandy’s most popular and scenic regions: Calvados.
After a 1.5-hour drive through the traditional landscapes of the region, you will reach the quaint little town of Honfleur, with its lovely old harbor. Follow your guide through the small streets of Honfleur, passing by some of its highlights, including the old wooden church.
Hop back into the minivan and, after a quick panoramic view of the city from a hilltop, your chauffeur-guide will drive you to Deauville, taking the scenic route along the coast. Deauville is the Parisian’s number one destination for a seaside break, with beautiful villas, luxury boutiques and a beautiful promenade along the beach.
On your way back to your hotel in Bayeux, a stop is planned at the Calvados Experience, where you and your family will learn all about the making of apple cider and “calvados” in a very interactive way. The private VIP tour ends with a tasting, accompanied with traditional local cheeses.
At the end of the day, your chauffeur-guide will drive you back to your hotel in Bayeux.
Attention: A supplement will be added and modifications to the program will be made if pick up and drop off is not in Bayeux.

FAQ's
Is this a private activity?
It sure is. Your family members will have your own private chauffeur-guide and Mercedes V-class minivan at disposal for the full day. There will be other people visiting Honfleur, Deauville and the few town located in the region. As for the Calvados Experience, you will be alone in your “group”, and you will have a private tasting session, but other people (groups) will be inside the premises.
Are the parents staying with the children or separated?
We always promote a family-bonding moment, where parents and children enjoy an activity together as a family. So, parents and children will not be separated. However, if you choose to send your children on this activity alone, it is possible, provided that a baby sitter accompanies the children regardless of the age, for insurance purposes.
How long does it take to drive to Honfleur, Deauville and the Calvados Experience?
It takes approximately 1.5 hours to drive from Bayeux to Honfleur. Then, with the scenic route, it will take a bit more than 30 minutes to reach Deauville. Count another 30 minutes to reach the Calvados Experience and finally, slightly over an hour to get back to Bayeux at the end of the day.
What will we taste at the Calvados Experience?
Adults will be tasting different liqueurs known as “Calvados”, a local alcoholic beverage. You will also taste cider. The kids will drink apple juice. This will all be accompanied with local cheeses, such as the famous Camembert.
Is it suitable for kids under 6 years old?
This visit is perfect for children aged 6 or older, but younger children will be accepted. Our mini-vans have booster seats, and our guides will be able to adapt their stories and fun-facts to the ages of the children.
Do we need to wear something special?
You never know what the weather can be like in Normandy, so don't forget to bring a raincoat or umbrella, just in case...
Will teenagers like this activity?
Of course, they will. Because it is a privately guided tour, your guide will adapt to the ages of the children and will know how to keep the teenagers engaged.
