Description
Food traditions run deep in Puglia, and this private cooking experience takes you beyond the recipes to discover the ingredients, techniques, and people behind them. Begin in the historic center of Conversano with chef Domenico, browsing local products and shopping for fresh ingredients before enjoying a quick Italian espresso.
Then, head inside a historic building and roll up your sleeves. Together, you will learn how to prepare two or three types of traditional Apulian pasta and the famous focaccia Barese. The experience also introduces you to local products through a tasting of cheeses made on the chef’s family farm and a selection of wines from a local cellar, with fresh fruit juices or flavored waters for children.
Finally, gather around the table to enjoy what you have prepared, from freshly made pasta and focaccia to local cheeses and dessert. The menu may change slightly according to the season and availability of fresh ingredients, making each class a true reflection of Puglian cooking.
Meeting point: Largo di Corte, Conversano, at the benches opposite the castle tower.
